Here is Lolly who joined us in 2010 just before she was 2. Lolly is the most loving and soft dog you could imagine, there isn’t a bad bone in her body, she adores attention and small children.
She would dearly love to be fat, her roll call of foods “opportunistically acquired” include numerous loaves, cakes, sausages and even a complete side of (wild!) smoked salmon. Luckily she gets plenty of exercise running and walking with us on the Ridgeway and in our fields and is kept very fit.
You can just see the nose of her Jack Russell companion and great mate in the background. The two of them accompanied my husband and I last Summer training for the “Ridgeway challenge” a 52 mile 24 hour walk. They couldn’t join us on the walk ( it would have been too much) but she must have been the slimmest and fittest chocolate Labrador in Oxfordshire.
In this photo Lolly is sporting her patriotic collar for the Queen’s 90th birthday. It goes without saying the tea was her favourite part of the day.
