SEEKING A NEW HOME
Labradors Seeking New Homes
Dogs come into rescue on a daily basis – and if you have already had a successful home check, some of these dogs may be suitable and will be considered when we review dogs in our care against homes waiting for a dog.
We do not publish a list of available dogs for rehoming on the website as the situation changes daily with availability of dogs and some people were looking at the site and wanting “only that dog”. Many are disappointed to discover that either the dog had been placed, they weren’t suitable, they hadn’t had a home check and couldn’t be considered until they had, they didn’t live in our area of coverage etc. The Area Coordinator in your locality will need to arrange a home visit before we can consider you for any dogs that we might have – we will then assess any dogs that could be suitable for you at that time.
We have found that a great deal of time is spent by our volunteers in dealing with requests for specific dogs, all to no avail and have returned to our previous tried and trusted method of not listing current dogs. We do however have many Success Stories on this website – so that people can see the sort of dogs that we have rehomed. When the time is right and we can proceed with placing a dog, any new home will have as much information and photographs that we have available (and may even be able to meet prior to rehoming) any dog that is considered suitable.
If you interested in offering one of our dogs a loving home, please do get in touch with your nearest Area Co-ordinator. They would be pleased to chat to you about the dogs we have available.
All dogs are placed subject to a home check in the South West area of England, including Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, parts of the Forest of Dean near Chepstow, Herefordshire, Bristol and Bath as well as the adjoining parts of Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Worcestershire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Rutland.
