It is probably fair to say that the lift doesn't go quite all the way to the top for either of them; it probably explains why they get along so well. The last two months have been frequently punctuated by hysterical laughter at their antics, by both us and by people we meet along the way. To find them sprawled out on our bed trying to work out how to get two salmon steaks (that they had just stolen from the kitchen worktop) out of the packaging was comedy far beyond anything that Del Boy and Rodney ever graced us with. And we wondered why it had all gone quiet.
