DUKE
We have had Duke for a number of years now and he is a real character. Duke arrived at the grand old age of three to us, us being his third owners. He is a big Lab but was very big when we got him weighing in at 8 stone, he is now a slender 6 stone. As a result undoubtedly of his excessive weight and repeated stress on his joints he is now quite badly arthritic, only one good limb out of four but it doesn't stop him doing all the things Labs love to do, he just does them slower except eat of course. He is loved by all in the vets and by many people in our area who know him as the uncoordinated big Lab with a lovely wiggle when he walks. He loves going anyway in the car and will climb many an obstacle to make sure he is in there regardless of what else you are trying to take.
He is a real gentle giant and we are so lucky to have been paired up with such a great character who gives us such joy, fun and huge vets bills, but we won't be without him.
Many thanks
Alex
