TLRT Publicity - How Park Farm Coffee Morning
This year the Coffee Morning at How Park Farm took place on 3rd September. Yet another lucky day weatherwise with everything being able to take place outside. As usual, thanks to Caroline Halse's exceptional organizing ability the morning was very successful in raising nearly £1,900 for the Trust.We had more people and more interesting stalls than ever with the usual high standard of vegetables, bread and cakes which all looked most attractive. Because of the wet ground the preparation was more difficult but due to the sudden appearance of several volunteers we all managed to get the tents and tables up in time. With many thanks to them and also a very efficient new team in the kitchen and of course the usual band of dedicated helpers on which the event depends.
Sadly next year will be the tenth and last time that the coffee morning will be held as Caroline is retiring! We owe her a tremendous debt of gratitude and hope that next year will be even better supported and will finish on a high! It will be on Wednesday 9th September 2009.
