TLRT Slimmer of the Year

Here we hope to bring you regular news on some of our 'fatties'. The Trust regularly sees dogs that are overweight - sometimes this may just be a few pounds - but some of the dogs that come into rescue fall either into the overweight, very overweight or obese category. Although a few dogs may have veterinary complications which can cause some weight to be gained, for the vast majority most of the dogs have been over-indulged by their owners, who feel guilty for leaving them for long periods, and so begins a vicious cycle of becoming more over-weight and taking less exercise.
