16 Nov JOSIE & MICA – NOVEMBER 2016
On 15th September 2016, I became the proud new owner of Josie and Mica, 2 gorgeous black Labradors, a mum and daughter aged 10 and 8.
I have been waiting for a long time to be in the right position to give dogs a home and having bought my own home earlier in the year was finally ready– the timing was amazing as I had just contacted TLRT to make enquiries when Josie and Mica came along.
They are truly delightful dogs – such great characters with their little ways; they make me laugh every day. This morning I put an apple in my bag to take to work; Josie promptly went to collect it and bring it back to me!
I live in a seaside town near to the beach and the woods so the dogs are getting lots of great walks. They were both overweight when they came to me and Josie in particular has quite bad arthritis. I put them on a weight loss programme and started them on tablets. Now Josie is really enjoying terrorising the squirrel population while Mica just wants to chase the ball and say hello to EVERY other dog and EVERY other owner!! It’s so nice to see how far they have come in such a short space of time.
It must have been very hard for the previous owners to make the decision to allow them to be rehomed as they were much loved. But they couldn’t have come to anyone who would love them more than me… so I just want to say a big thank you to TLRT for bringing such joy into my life. And the girls send you a big woof and a lick as well!
