09 Dec Tamar Trails Walk
We had a fantastic day on Sunday ……
Over 30 friends and supporters of The Labrador Rescue Trust turned out –most participated in the 4 miles walk partly along the old railway tracks at The Tamar Trails Centre near Gunnislake. So many Labradors and some “honorary” ones and all so well behaved. With welcome refreshments at the Beech café and delicious free minces pies (made by John, Marie and Nick) afterwards we couldn’t have asked for more – even the weather was kind with only a brief 2 minute shower! We raised an amazing £712 in sponsorship – a special mention to Sandy Palmer and friends for the generous amount given and to all those who joined us on the walk and to everyone who donated so generously.
My very grateful thanks goes to helper John Titcomb, who organised the whole event, assisted by Marie Ball and Nick Pearce who took some fantastic photos and to The Tamar Trails Centre for letting us use the facilities and opening up the café for us.
